How can I revive a dried out Orchid plant?

I adopted an abandoned Orchid plant at work, but it looks preeeeety bad. The roots look completely dried out, but the big floppy leaves are still very green. The flowers have wilted and are slightly crispy, but have not fallen off yet. No one I've talked to knows whose it was, so I don't know how they were taking care of it. I've read some blogs that say plenty of water and fertilizer should revive it, but it just looks so hopeless. Any ideas? Thanks!
