There is an abandoned vehicle where I work, I would like to own it. Procedures?

There Is a Mustang GT abandoned in a in a parking lot where I work. There is front end damage to the vehicle. It has no License Plates and has been parked in the same spot for several years. Is there a way for me to gain ownership of the vehicle since I do not know who it is registered to. Im not sure it is registered since there are no plates. If anyone knows what I need to do as far as paperwork and legal processes involving the DMV, Police, Etc. It would be much appreciated! Thanks!
